ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a leading international firm in Chemicals sector, an experienced Data Analyst join their global Market Intelligence and Business Development team,
focusing on the marine business
Workplace location : Athens, South Suburbs (Hybrid model; combining work from the premises & remote working).
As a Data Analyst, you will be performing quantitative analysis with large datasets to create market outlook predictions, BI dashboards / reports, customer business cases and sales tools.
You will be supporting several stakeholders across the organization globally, with the right data to enable fact-based decision making and drive a proactive approach for growth.
The role reports to the Group Market Intelligence & Business Development Manager, Marine.
Role’s strong focus will be in optimizing the data and enable the scaling up of the usage of market data across the global sales organization.
Specifically you will be responsible for :
Analysing internal and external business data to provide insights and support market intelligence projects and initiatives regular reports and ad-hoc analyses
Developing predictive models for market size and market share estimations, feeding the forecast and business planning processes
Contributing to the development of sales tools by applying statistical methods, mathematical modelling, and visualization tools
Generating customer business reviews and business cases to support sales teams with tenders and account development planning
Maintaining and developing further databases and platforms of customer and vessel data by combining info from various sources, applying data cleaning techniques and automated solutions
Optimizing data structures and processes to minimize manual data updates and scale up the usage of data models and tools
Supporting the smooth integration of market data models into corporate systems, by working closely with the Master Data and CRM teams
To qualify for the position, you must have more than 4 years of experience in a hands-on Data Analytics role. You possess excellent analytical and quantitative skills, and as a super-user of Excel and BI tools you can analyse data and deliver reports and insights in a smooth and fast-paced manner. Specifically :
4 years of experience in a hands-on Data Analytics role
Academic background in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills - impeccable attention to detail
Track record of full ownership of business data including modelling, reporting and visualization
Experience in applying statistical models for business purposes
Experience in data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, Power BI
Proven history in applying automated solutions to minimize manual work
Familiarity with the maritime ecosystem would be beneficial
Ability to effectively communicate complicated data and findings in a simply fashion
Very good in spoken and written English
Willingness to work in a high-paced environment where you may need to quickly shift priorities
Ability to multi-task and align with long-term or fast ad-hoc queries
Ability to work in an independent way, while at the same time a team player and humble - connecting with colleagues and sharing ideas to improve effective teamwork
Ability to travel abroad expected around 20-30 days per year
