Senior Associate, Solution Engineer (Evening Shift)
The Solution Engineer (SE) is a member of the Global Clinical Supply (GCS) Chain Core Solutions organization. In Core Solutions our mission is to help bring medicines to patients through the delivery of impactful and sustainable technology solutions for the Global Clinical Supply Chain functions of Pfizer by providing the talent for technology planning, project execution and application development excellence.
The Solution Engineer plays a key role in meeting our mission. The SE analyzes specifications, designs logic, writes code, customizes products, tests, debugs and documents software applications.
The SE acts as a technical subject matter expert on in-house, outsourced, or co-sourced developed global applications.
Key responsibilities include directing and participating in programming activities, monitoring, evaluating system performance, and designing and implementing new programs and features.
This position will perform that function in partnership and collaboration with Client Partner leaders, other Pfizer Digital service providers, and business team members stakeholders.
Given the global nature of this role, it is a requirement that the selected candidate will work full time evening shift.
With some oversight this role :
Works in team environment with Pfizer colleagues as well as vendor partners.Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
Provides technical oversight to ensure the quality and maintenance of existing production systems.Develops, maintains and promotes Engineering Best Practices for the group.
Designs, prototypes, implements and unit test software solutions.Specifies user / system interfaces and translate logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems.
Produces detailed designs and documents all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools, where appropriate.
Conducts reviews of supplied specifications as appropriate.Defines the integration interface and produce a build definition for generation of the software.
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other engineering discipline.
3 years of experience with an emphasis on solutions and application developmentKnowledge of the software development lifecycle.
Strong capabilities developing multi-tiered solutions using OOP programming languages such as Java. .Net, C#. Java developer skill set is preferred.
Knowledge of JMS messaging and web service is desired.Capable of understanding security requirements, and using the frameworks and tools the organization has put in place to meet those requirementsExcellent oral and written communication skills including technical writing / documentationEffective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
Demonstrated competency in Software Development Lifecycle management information technology engineering practices including technical requirements definition, design, implementation, configuration and systems life cycle management.
Microsoft Dynamics AX CertificationsUnderstanding of key MS Dynamics AX architectural concepts and how they influence designStrong knowledge of relational databases and object-oriented coding, storage, hosting, cloud, application, analytics and services technologiesSuperb interpersonal skills and proven experience working and building relationships across Digital & business teams.
Experience with Manufacturing and Clinical Supply Chain modules of AX
