support projects delivery for our US Team.
Position : Network Engineer
Role : Full time, 40 hrs / week, flexible
Location : Poznań, Poland (hybrid or working from home)
Project : Foundation Infrastructure
Your Daily Responsibilities
As part of the Private Cloud and Network team you will be Develop, deploy, and support Pearson’s proprietary hybrid-cloud interconnect platform.
Work closely with the internal tools team to develop monitoring of Pearson’s global infrastructure estate.
High level troubleshooting both Cloud based and traditional
Identifying, monitoring, and defining the requirements of the overall F5 estate using tools like Big IQ.
Testing and checking the F5 estate for weaknesses in software and hardware.
Forensic follow up -Investigating intrusion and hacking incidents, collecting incident responses, and carrying out forensic investigations.
Maintaining F5 devices, virtual and physical.
Implementing regulatory patches, upgrades in accordance with IT security procedures, and policies.
On call duties (rotation)
Project management experience managing implementations of new enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
This may involve overseeing the work of third-party service providers.
Ability to mentor peers on F5 usage and architecture.
Your Skills and Qualifications
Proven work experience as a network load balancer engineer or senior network engineer with F5 experience.
Experience in creating and maintaining load balancer systems.
o Emphasis on F5 Load Balancer systems
Thorough understanding of the latest technologies, security principles, and protocols.
o CDN (big plus)
Thinking outside the box - different ways to use F5 products, streamlining the LB environment.
Understanding of the web-related terminologies and software such as web applications, web related protocols, service-oriented architectures, and web services.
High Level troubleshooting of the F5 environment, may be in a support role for an application incident.
Some experience using automation frameworks and tools such as Git, Rundeck, Ansible, Terraeform, and
Confident, critical thinking problem solver with excellent written and interpersonal skills; ability to make sound decisions under pressure with limited information, and influence decision making at all levels.
Bachelor’s Degree - Computer Science, Cyber-Security, or equivalent experience.
CCNA or equivalent
AWS Solutions Architect
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
