So what’s the challenge
The lawyer’s role is to ensure that all company’s transactions comply with laws and regulations, while proactively helping the Group avoid possible legal risks and maintain its exclusive rights.
Your day to day will include :
Drafting and filing complaints, notifications, reports and court documents to the Greek State / Greek courts (Administrative and Penal) and competent regulatory authorities in Greece and abroad against illegal providers and competitors, which violate the Group’s exclusive rights
Handling cases before the competent Greek and European Competition Authorities relating to the above matters
Handling cases before the competent Administrative and Penal courts relating to the above matters
Providing legal opinions and develops internal documentation relating to the above matters
Providing legal opinions on regulatory & compliance matters
Undertaking and managing ad hoc projects concerning legal, regulatory & compliance issues for the gaming market
Providing legal support to the relevant teams on day to day issues in conformity with the current legal, regulatory and compliance framework relating to the operation of competitors and illegal providers
Monitoring the legal and regulatory framework in Greece and across Europe relating to the online gaming market and the relevant arisen competition issues
Monitoring the legal and regulatory framework in Greece and across Europe relating to illegal betting
What you need to succeed :
Bachelor in Law (LLB). Master degree will be preferred (LLM) in the field of Competition and / or Administrative law
Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience as member of prominent Law Firm in Greece or abroad or as a member of a corporate legal department
Member of a Greek Bar Association
Proven experience in handling cases before the Competition Authorities (both Greek and European Competition Authorities)
Proven experience in handling cases before the Administrative courts
Experience in the handling of penal cases is a plus
Fluency in Greek and English language, oral and written
Ability to work alone and as a member of a larger team
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced working environment
Military obligations fulfilled in case of male candidate
