Salary offered : 11 000 - 18 000 PLN gross per month (contract of employment)

Project Overview :

Kainos’ customer is a FinTech start up with heavy backing, both financially and from across their target industry. Their vision is to build an on-demand service to replace an old and ineffective system which their target market all has deployed on premises.

The core functionality will be commercial software, similar to that currently deployed on premises.

Kainos are building all of the surrounding services : infrastructure as code, message handling, data handling and persistence, analytics, operations, orchestration, integration with customers, and a whole lot more.

This is Kainos’ largest commercial sector project and will really put us on the map : multi-million Euro deal, multiple years of ongoing development and service.

We work fully remotely in Kainos but we might require you to visit our Gdansk office occasionally for team activities or company events.

Your role :

As a Senior Test Engineer , you will work within a multi-skilled agile team, developing and executing functional automated and manual tests to help the team deliver working application software that meets user needs.

You will do this whilst learning about new technologies and approaches, with talented colleagues who will help you learn, develop and grow.

Minimum requirements :

  • Good technical ability and can assist with test automation tasks and has a desire to develop their test automation skills further.
  • Understanding of different delivery methodologies ( e.g., agile, waterfall, v-model ) and how testing fits within them.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • We all work in teams here in Kainos a proven ability of strong team skills, including working in a multi-disciplinary team is crucial
  • Desirable :

  • Knowledge of Test Automation open source technologies (e.g. Selenium, Protractor).
  • Technical awareness and a sound understanding of software architectures .
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git / SVN .
  • Experience working in Continuous Integration environment and configuring tools for testing such as Jenkins and / or TeamCity .
  • Experience testing within Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience working closely with developers.
  • We are passionate about developing people experience in managing, mentoring and coaching junior members of staff is important.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate issues to other technical people, and sometimes to non-technical people.
