As a member of the Analytic Tools & Platforms (ATP) Europe team, part of the Pfizer Digital organisation, this Senior Manager position has responsibility to :
responsible for the engineering of Business Intelligence (BI), data management, reporting and advanced analytics projects within the region and on occasions, globally;
collaborate with the ATP regional and global ATP Solution Engineering colleagues for successful design, implementation, and delivery of multiple projects;
collaborate with the ATP Solution Delivery team, project client (typically a Pfizer business unit) and Pfizer Digital business facing Client Partners in the region; and
partner with other teams to advance BI capabilities in the region.
The position is part of a growing team where teamwork is paramount and involves working closely with the ATP Solution Delivery team, and other Pfizer Digital organisations, to provide our colleagues with trusted and innovative solutions that empower them to draw business insights from data, to improve patient lives, deliver new medicines and pioneering care for the people who rely on us.
This position will be working on database technologies, data integration and visualisation technologies. Technologies include AWS cloud, Oracle, Informatica, SQL and BI tools such as Business Objects, Tableau and MicroStrategy.
Candidates should have previous experience of these technologies.
This position will require both independent working and management of third-party partners / vendors within the portfolio of assigned projects, to engineer and implement high quality solutions to uncover insights with real business value in alignment with Pfizer’s and the region’s business and technology strategies.
This position is Pfizer Global Job Level 090, with a primary location of Thessaloniki, Greece. Occasional travel may be required.
Primary Responsibilities :
Manage and be responsible for the technical design and technical implementation of multiple smaller or large complex Business Intelligence (BI), data management, reporting and advanced analytics projects in region, that maximise the value from data in answering business questions that accelerate the building of a healthier world and improve patient lives.
Responsible for technical planning, data & architecture design, data modelling, technical implementation and the communication of technical progress to key stakeholders.
Work with the business, Pfizer Digital stakeholders and partners / vendors to capture key requirements, translate them into projects in alignment using Pfizer’s approved standards & architecture and seek approval for projects following the standard governance processes.
Where appropriate, conduct prototyping and innovation sessions.
Work collaboratively with ATP Platform team for platform and infrastructure enablement, including platform / tool selections, architecture, estimation and technical solution design.
Work collaboratively with the ATP Service Operations, ATP Solution Delivery, ATP Platform and other Pfizer Digital teams to deliver viable Business Intelligence technical solutions through building relationships.
Serve as the first technical escalation and resolution point for all engineering phases of assigned projects.
Maintain solid customer engagement with key stakeholders, including business, Commercial Operations and Pfizer Digital colleagues.
Partner with other teams to advance BI capabilities in the region.
Education & Experience :
6+ years of BI solution engineering experience in large organisations, engineering multiple smaller or large / complex projects
Significant previous experience in engineering Business Intelligence (BI), data warehousing, reporting, big data, advanced analytics solutions in large organisations, both in traditional waterfall and agile approaches
Minimum undergraduate degree in either a technical or a relevant discipline (e.g. : computer science, information management, operation research)
Experience in engineering BI cloud-based solutions
Experience with technical solution management tools
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, preferably Commercial or sales and marketing
