Optimal HR Group on behalf of Elpedison, a leading Energy & Utilities organization is looking to recruit a well promised Operator , in Thessaloniki.
The Operator will be responsible for the performance of the day-to-day operational activities of the plant, in a rolling, rotating shift schedule.
Carrying out effective response to operational demands and ensures that safe and efficient generation are undertaken, giving due regard to all plant consents and authorisations
Day to day activity includes hands on operational duty in the plant control room and / or in the field
Identifying and suggesting improvements to plant and operating methods
Ensuring that the high standards for health, safety and environmental are met, by constantly and diligently adhering and promoting company HSE standards and ISO requirements and ensuring that compliance to the above, is timely, continuous and strict
Supporting the STL, as permit issuer, in supervising and ensuring compliance of all people in the plant with company’s policies and procedures
Reporting immediately any non-compliance condition to the Shift Team Leader on duty
Undertaking training, development, coaching and accrediting to ensure that he / she achieves full potential and remains competent to operate the plant
Participating in a close and effective working level relationship with external interface organisations such as ADMIE and DEPA / DESFA, whilst preserving commercial confidentiality and ensuring that an auditable trail exists in all dealings
Ensuring that always the commercial capabilities of the plant and up to date dynamic parameters of the station are updated and recorded
Handling the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) Chemical Analysis process and communicating with interested parties
Acting as the First Line Maintenance in emergencies
Managing the Monitoring & Control of Distributed Control System process by implementing the production schedule and monitoring equipment’s / Power Plant’s status and warnings / alarms
University Degree or Navy Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
At least practical experience in the operation field of a big industry
Ideally to possess knowledge of Quality and HSE protocols (esp. IS09001, ISO 1400, OHSAS 18001, etc.)
Very good communication and interpersonal skills

Reliable individual who values health & safety rules and protocols
Fluency in English language
Very good use of MS Office
