Job Description

The HR Operations Analyst is a key member of the North America HR Operations Team and is responsible for supporting the PepsiCo North America organization (FLNA, NAB, QFNA & Corporate) -

a highly-matrixed multi-function client group- with the level of reporting required to make informed business decisions. This role supports a total of about 130,000 employees and the reporting is delivered through Tableau dashboards, baseline reports (that have a standard format and frequency), ad hoc reports (created at the request of an individual for a specific purpose), shared reports (templates created by the HR Operations Analyst that are run by users in the business / field), developing automated tools for business / field reporting, and coaching users on using the reporting tools.

The HR Operations Analyst must be able to :

  • Develop Tableau dashboards that visualize and enhance Human Capital Information metrics
  • Interact with reporting customers to understand needs and requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data with discretion
  • Translate business requests into technical requirements that assist business users to make decisions
  • Develop custom reports using Success Factors Employee Central, Business Objects, SAP HCM Query, MS Excel, Tableau and Oracle
  • Solve problems in complex systems
  • Analyze data and report output to verify data integrity and report accuracy
  • Critically examine report output to provide commentary and insights of trends and findings that the reports reveal
  • Interact with Information Technology (IT) teams to identify and implement added system functionality
  • Develop and apply technical solutions to automate and streamline reporting processes
  • Instruct others in how to use the basic HR reporting tools (Success Factors Employee Central, Business Objects, SAP HCM, and any custom developed reporting tools)
  • Learn and develop new skills using tools and systems to convert data to information that reveals business insights
  • Key Accountabilities

    Analytics Production and Sustainment :

  • Develop information dashboards that meet business requirements and create valuable information for business leaders
  • Produce Production Reports as required. The schedule frequency for various reports may be daily, weekly, periodically or monthly
  • Facilitate streamlining and improvement of reporting processes for the HR Operations Team
  • Report Development :

  • Develop and deliver Ad Hoc reports to provide data that assists PepsiCo leadership to make informed decisions
  • Design and develop new reporting tools that meet on-going business needs for business analysis
  • Develop and deliver Ad Hoc reports that support specific HR processes such as People Planning, Mid-Year Review, Performance & Development Review, Organizational Health, 360 Degree Feedback, and Manager Quality Performance Index
  • Client Support :

  • Assist clients in defining their report requirements, designing and executing reports
  • Data Integrity :

  • Identify business rules for data standards and system audits; assure that audits are implemented and followed through so that each data discrepancy is resolved
  • Maintain system data integrity at the employee level through individual follow-up with HR data administrators
  • People Development :

  • Mentor and teach less experienced associates how to leverage tools
  • Assist in integrating new employees (including contractors) into the department
  • Provide constructive feedback to co-workers and team members
  • Provide technical training (Excel, Success Factors Employee Central, SAP HCM, Business Objects) and mentoring to less experienced team members
  • Other :

  • Complete special projects as deemed necessary by management
  • Works with the following teams and organizations : PepsiCo North America Total Rewards, PepsiCo North America HR Generalists (200+), PepsiCo HR Management, Global and Local HR Operations, PepsiCo Payroll Services, Alight Services, PepsiCo Diversity & Inclusion, PepsiCo Finance and other PepsiCo functions
  • Qualifications / Requirements

  • Proven skills in developing complex reports and performing data analysis. Experience querying and handling large datasets is desired.
  • Understands the PepsiCo business to assist in interpreting and fulfilling report requests
  • Ability to professionally interact with all levels of the business; both verbally and written
  • Function independently with minimal direction; ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to complete highly complex tasks in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required. A Masters in Sociology or Industrial / Organizational Psychology would be ideal.
  • 2+ years in system / data analysis
  • Experience using statistics to drive decision making in an applied setting would be relevant
  • Expert level proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Business Objects, Success Factors Employee Central and SAP HCM (Tableau, Alteryx, Access, MS Visual Basic, SAS and TOAD experience is desirable)
  • Strong analytical skills. Experience in behavioral research either in an academic setting or in an applied setting would be helpful.
  • Knowledge of trends in organizational research is desired
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Ability to create efficiency in current processes across the HR Operations Team
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Minimal travel is required (would be for special projects or training; average 2-3 trips annually)
