The Monitoring Systems Expert (MSE) is responsible for :
Managing, update, and troubleshoot issues from Zenoss Monitoring systems
Managing, update, and troubleshoot issues of a large customer support web application platform, servicing both internal (UNIFY) and external (customer) users
Working with UI / UX designer to build new features
Working server-side to manage data interchange between multiple system and databases
Monitoring Zenoss server farm to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support systems availability Monitor and support the ATOS / Unify monitoring and reporting toolset (Zenoss, CSA) Monitor and support any other tools used for ATOS / Unify and assigned to the MTST team Work in shifts (including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, weekend on calls) Work and interface with other teams (MCDT,Product teams, etc) and third party vendors (Fujitsu, Zenoss, etc) Take ownership of system issues and work through to resolution Proactive research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve system issues and minimizing downtime Follow standard processes and procedures for proper escalation and notification to the appropriate teams and users Ensure proper documentation and closure to issues and projects Documentation of issues, processes and procedures, training guides and as assigned to the MTST team Assistance and support of team members in training, schedules, problem solving and project
Education, Experience & Profile
Academic background with a degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, IT related field or 5+ years of professional experience in the absence of the academic background
Proven Web Development knowledge
Fluency in English (written & verbal - B2 or equivalent certification);
Very good analytical skills
Positive attitude and advanced interpersonal skills
Ability to perform in a multi-tasking environment
Creativity, self-motivation, willingness to learn new things
Can do’ attitude
Fulfilled military service
Knowledge of multiple browser development specifics (IE, Firefox, Chrome)
Experience with Web Services and Applications hosted on Linux
Understanding of performance related tuning within browsers
