beverage industry in the geographical Area of 14 markets. We are seeking a highly motivated colleague to cover the role of :
Senior Automation Engineer
The qualified candidate will reinforce the Projects (Engineering team) and support our customer’s growth in South Eastern Europe.
The position reports to Projects Office Manager SEE.
You will be working within the Projects Team to deliver Automation solutions.
ou will provide leadership and control for Automation scope of small to medium scale (L0-L2) Food Processing Equipment / Line(s) projects, ensuring that they are delivered in line with budget and cost constraints whilst following Tetra Pak quality systems as a minimum.
This may include projects where multiple resources (internal and external) are involved in the development of Automation systems.
In addition to the above, the role would include delivering hands on programming & commissioning work as well as supporting sales with quotation work.
Your key responsibilities
Be overall project responsible for automation (e.g. application functionality, system functionality, related cost monitoring, project planning and co-ordination, etc.).
Plan, control and follow-up economy, resources, time and quality, from order to customer take over, following our environmental and quality management system.
Specify equipment for assigned projects.
Specify tender documents for Automation & Electrical sub-contractors and check the quotations received.
Lead FAT tests, including writing of test specifications and reports.
Be responsible for electrical design within customer projects. Perform HW design work, engineering of Remote IO-panels, documentation and purchase of panels in close co-
operation with Electrical and Automation engineers in the cluster.
Participate in creation of process functional description.
Optimize automation software and hardware solutions for Tetra Pak branded processing units.
As the lead role work differs along the year, when there is time additional responsibility would be to produce PLC code, design HMI / SCADA by utilizing customer requirements specification, P&
IDs, hardware specifications and associated project documents.
Participate or lead water / CIP commissioning and start-up on product.
Troubleshoot by phone, e-mail and on site.
Support Sales team by designing automation system architecture, compiling cost calculations and quotation texts (automation scope).
Participate in project team meetings, report progress, support colleagues on automation aspects.
Your skills and knowledge
Minimum Academic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Industrial Controls or electronic / electrical Engineering, or related engineering field.
Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in Automation projects, perferably within Food Industry.
Skills & Knowledge
Proficient using & Programming Automation platforms including at least Siemens S7, Wonderware, WinCC utilized on processing plant or machines
Good knowledge of network design and configuration e.g. ProfiBus, ProfiNet, Ethernet, DeviceNet
Proficient in use of MSProject, MSExcel, SQL, MSWord
Skilled on Data Base MS-SQL Server
Skilled with the preparation of tenders for automation / electrical solutions
Familiarity with S88 / S95 - will be considered a plus
Familiarity with MES - will be considered a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop effective relationships and gain credibility across all stakeholders
Willing to learn and available to be involved in a new dynamic organisation
Flexible approach since the work load varies depending on the project phase
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Additional Requirements :
Ability to travel in hosting country & internationally (You will be expected to travel approx. up to 30% of the time)
This is a permanent position and shall be based either in Athens, Belgrade, or Bucharest.
