SSC Air Freight Manager

Manage the Airfreight Services department and lead its employees.

Help develop the local SSC strategy and implement same as far as Airfreight is concerned.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Achieve departmental and personal objectives and targets
  • Follow corporate and regional workflows and procedures for employee training, service
  • implementation and delivery

  • Responsible for successful transition of processes and tasks to the SSC
  • Hire new employees
  • in close cooperation with the HR department and ensure adequate staff

    levels at all times

  • Assess and develop direct reports and identify high performers and outliers
  • Continuously improve quality and productivity - cooperate with the quality team
  • Propose process improvements and work with the global and regional process owners to
  • realize same

  • Responsible for adequate and timely training of all employees
  • Daily management of performance and monthly reporting of KPI’s
  • Ensure timely and comprehensive communication with employees, process owners and other key
  • stake holders, peers and management at all levels

  • Manage relationships with BU / FU, other departments in SSC Skg / Beg and other SSC
  • Implement projects toimprove performance, efficiency and eliminate waste - cooperate with the
  • quality team

  • Ensure up to date documentation of all process work instructions and SOP and comply with
  • all QSHE requirements

  • Identify potentials for automation and realize them - cooperate with the automation team
  • Attend international meetings and work-shops (travel is approx. 10%)
  • Your skills and experience

  • University Degree in Business Administration / Customs / Logistics or equivalent
  • Proven people management and leadership skills (20+ employees)
  • Ability to motivate others to perform at the highest standards
  • Both, proven process and project management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills suitable for all levels in the KN organization
  • Proficient in English. Greek and German language are a plus
  • Familiar with all Airfreight systems and tools, incl. KN Login and BO
  • Airfreight operational experience is a plus
  • Pro-active, result oriented, assertive and competent
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to negotiate, convince and resolve conflicts both internally as well as externally
  • Excellent planning, time management and general organizational skills
  • Reliable - delivers on time and achieves the required quality of the deliverables
