Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking Flight Schedulers to provide direct on-site support to U.S. Air Force (USAF) Command & Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C2ISR) & Rescue Squadrons.
Flight Schedulers plan and update near-term and long-term squadron-wide schedules in compliance with USAF and local policies and procedures.
The scheduler must be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances in a medium to high-stress environment.
Scheduling is a challenging, dynamic process impacted by aircraft maintenance, aircrew medical issues, flight evaluation requirements expiring event currencies, deployments, student training continuity and weather.
Schedule aircraft, academics, training devices, and aircrew to satisfy Air Force requirements for individual training currency and proficiency throughout multiple Air Combat Command (ACC) and US European Command (USEUCOM) locations.
Typically performs functional duties independently in coordination with the site lead and Program Manager. Specific duties include :
Coordinate with the training officer, squadron aviation resource management (SARM), Unit Deployment Manager (UDM), and Director of Operations (DO) to arrange a schedule which facilitates operations, qualifications, upgrades, testing, exercises, and continuation training to meet required currency and progression standards in accordance with DO priorities
Build long and short-range shift schedules, in compliance with Ops Group and scheduling chiefs’ locally-developed guidance, to ensure full coverage of all aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel and supervisor positions
Coordinate with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis
Track crewmember leave, temporary duty, scheduled medical appointments or other scheduling commitments
Deconflict crewmember schedules and coordinate with flight leadership to ensure crew availability to meet assigned sortie taskings
Track daily flight / ground / academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate accurate flight scheduling
Schedule aircrew based on experience to mitigate Operational Risk Management (ORM)
Facilitate last-minute-schedule changes to ensure full shift coverage
Obtain aircraft and equipment availability data from maintenance and schedule crewmembers for training, exercises, simulators and operations as required
Publish and post scheduling data for unit long / short-range ground / academic / flying, and simulator training event schedules on Patriot Excalibur (PEX), or other computer database systems
Assist in determining flight, ground, and simulator schedule requirements for upgrade, initial qualification, requalification, transition, currency, continuation training based upon syllabus requirements, student progression, weather, daily equipment availability and training range availability
Perform daily updates of scheduling data to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates
Coordinate with Operations Support Squadron (OSS) Plans, outside agencies / exercise participants and higher headquarters for reporting and to facilitate exercise and special event schedule coordination
Provide inputs to OSS Scheduling and update daily Supervisor of Flying (SOF) and Top 3 schedules
Correlate sortie length and airspace requirements with syllabus requirements
Attend meetings for schedule coordination and deconfliction, including : Weekly special use airspace scheduling meeting for schedule Weekly planning / coordination airspace restrictions meeting for schedule Monthly range scheduling meetings
Minimum Experience / Education :
Applicant must be a US citizen
Minimum qualifications include at least two (2) years of experience working as a squadron aircrew scheduler
Minimum qualifications include at least two (2) years of experience working with Patriot Excalibur (PEX) or similar proprietary scheduling programs
Minimum qualifications include at least two (2) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office products in an operational squadron
One of the following is desirable : an additional six (6) years of relevant experience, four (4) years of relevant experience and an Associate’s degree, or a BA / BS degree
Security Clearance :
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a minimum level of SECRET .
Ability to complete and obtain a favorably-adjudicated Tier 3 background investigation is a condition of employment.
Additional Comments : Some travel may be required. Travel is not anticipated to exceed 10 days annually.
