Role purpose :

The role is responsible for operating and supporting the Mediation application, focusing on services availability and providing great customer experience to internal and external customers.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

  • Responsible for 24x7 continuous service availability and support for mediation application
  • Responsible for root cause analysis and sustainable solutions generation
  • Responsible for application monitoring, housekeeping and reporting
  • Responsible for monitoring performance, availability and capacity
  • Responsible for application related database, Unix and network monitoring
  • Interface with Solution Delivery, second level support teams and external partners regarding the deployment deliverables of new applications’ services, coordinate releases cycles and troubleshooting
  • Responsible for service request, trouble tickets, incidents and problems management including implementation of workarounds and changes
  • Play key role to the delivery of high quality end-to-end service by ensuring successful roll-out, configuration and integration of the operated applications with applications managed by other teams
  • Accountable for the proper set up of hardware, network, server, middleware, storage, databases needed for operating the secured applications to meet the availability and performance targets (KPIs)
  • Actively contribute to process and tool improvements by providing requirements for support tools
  • Actively share best practices and tools with other teams contributing to the overall effectiveness of IT and the organisation as a whole
  • Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

  • Knowledge management and monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of function Billing and / or Mediation
  • Proven experience in Unix OS and Oracle / MySQL DB environments
  • Understanding of technical / IT business solutions
  • Able to effectively categorize, prioritize and act according to the customer needs, agreed service levels and priorities to complete service requests
  • Enthusiastic and passionate, with a strong customer orientation
  • Eager to learn about the latest business services and products
  • Able to work with ambitious timelines in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Good communications skills, with both technical and business audiences
  • Technical / professional qualifications :

  • University Degree in Information Technology or other related field
  • Experience in continuous operation support systems (24x7) strongly preferred
  • Fluency in English language both verbal and written
  • LIPOST
