Job Description

This role executes category strategy through analytic performance and builds on developing customer relationships. It also provides customer, category, consumer and shopper insights to support and build category relationships with identified customers and supports commercialization of PepsiCo brands.

This role helps win space, range and distribution for PepsiCo via category centric solutions.

  • Supports or leads development and delivery of annual category plan (e.g., category growth objectives, strategies, tactics) that aligns with customer
  • Identify Consumer, Shopper and Category trends and growth drivers
  • Develop Category plans in collaboration with Customer
  • Contributes to overall Category Management Team agenda and vision across Channel, Customer, and Category
  • Applies analytical skills to identify, measure, and quantify business performance and trends relative to market or competition within retailer or market
  • Responsible of admin, guard, process and analyze sell out data from Customer to identify Sales Opportunities, target

  • execution / performance gaps, recommend product + forecast innitiatives
  • Develops detailed customer specific analytic scorecards utilizing appropriate information sources (e.g., Nielsen, custom shopper research, customer scan / shopper card data) and communicates regularly with customer on results and actions to improve
  • Performs regular review of business through pricing, product, placement and promotion (4P’s) process to analyze data and identify opportunities with customer to grow business
  • Align Category Strategy with Customer to connect 4P’s to that vision (Portfolio productivity, Price Strategy and depth, Shelf Strategy Space Priorities, Perimeter and Seasonal Bets to connect with More / Bigger / Faster levers
  • Assists with translating category insights and trends into compelling customer presentations and action plans
  • Based on Growth drivers, recommend detailed innovation
  • Supports rollout of Category Management initiatives through tool developments such as best practice sharing and training course delivery
  • Lead implementation of all strategies and category execution agreed with Customers, in collaboration with Sales / Frontline teams, providing guidelines and feedback of impacts.

    Ensuring networking across channels.

    Qualifications / Requirements

  • Business management, marketing, finance or engineering careers
  • At least 1-2 years experience working in fmcg companies
  • Analytic profile
  • Advanced Communication and interpersonal skills
